AI Processing Consent

What the AI features do

Anna can answer questions about records you manage, help organise information, analyse selected photos or documents, transcribe voice, and create summaries or other assistance you request. AI output is probabilistic and may be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, dosage instruction, emergency monitoring, or a substitute for a qualified professional.

Information sent for AI processing

For the AI action you choose, Growing Years may send OpenAI your prompt and only the context needed for the request, which can include a child's profile, diary and planner details, health conditions, allergies, medicines, measurements, laboratory values, notes, relevant conversation, photos, PDF-derived text or rows, voice audio or transcript, and technical request metadata. Growing Years may create embeddings, summaries, memories, and safety or quality signals needed to provide the feature.

Do not submit information you are not authorised to use. You confirm that you are at least 18 and are the child's parent, legal guardian, or another adult authorised to provide this information and consent to its processing.

Provider and international processing

OpenAI is the active recipient for text and multimodal responses, embeddings, and audio transcription. Requests may be processed in the United States or other countries with laws different from those where you live. We do not promise United Kingdom or European Economic Area residency for OpenAI.

Responses API requests use store: false, which prevents provider application-state storage for that endpoint. It is not a zero-retention guarantee and does not prove that ordinary provider safety or abuse-monitoring records are absent. We do not represent that account-specific zero-data-retention, provider deletion, residency, or transfer controls have been verified when they have not.

What you consent to

By choosing Agree, you explicitly consent to KERNELICS LLP:

• processing the selected personal and child health information for the AI action you request;
• sending that information to OpenAI for text or multimodal generation, embeddings, or audio transcription as needed;
• processing the information internationally, including where the destination may not provide the same legal protections as your country;
• storing AI conversations, outputs, summaries, embeddings, memories, and related state in your Growing Years account so the requested feature and its history work; and
• recording the consent version, language, choice, context, and time as evidence of your decision.

This consent does not authorise targeted advertising or sale of child health information.

Refusal, withdrawal, and what remains available

You may refuse now or withdraw later in Settings. Withdrawal takes effect for AI requests started after the choice is recorded and stops new AI processing. It cannot recall a request already sent or processing already completed. Withdrawal does not automatically erase diary records, past chat, or prior provider processing; use account controls or contact legal@kernelics.com for a separate deletion or rights request.

After refusal or withdrawal, you can continue to use non-AI diary and planner functions, manage your account and subscription, read legal documents, and schedule account deletion.

Material changes and contact

A material change to the AI purpose, recipient, categories of information, provider retention statement, or international-processing disclosure receives a new AI Processing Consent version. AI remains off for that user until a fresh affirmative choice is recorded. Editorial corrections alone do not require consent again.
